St. Joseph’s Hospital, a unit of the Catholic Diocese of Mysore, Bannimantap in Mysore city was the dream project of late Bishop Mathias Fernandes, which was realized during the time of late Bishop Joseph Roy in 2008. The hospital with the below mentioned vision and mission, is providing medical services, especially to the poor and needy, for the past 13 years.
St. Joseph’s Hospital is a 150-bedded multi-specialty healthcare unit with 24X7 medical services and good facilities, including 40 specialists and a dedicated team of doctors for various departments of medi-care. The hospital has an advanced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with ten beds. There are two major and one minor surgical units (OT’s). There are six dialysis machines.

How we Started:
April -2008 – hospital opened

Dr. Gerry Pias – Medical Superintendent
Dr. Placid Lasrado – Deputy Medical Superintendent
Dr. Cristilda pias- Physician
Dr. Gladys Rasquinha – Gynecologist
Dr. Xavier D’Souza – Urologist
With co -ordination of diocesan priests Fr. Mari Raj – Administrator, Fr. George Martiz- Director.
Started with laproscopic surgery with all the facility.
2011- January – Diocease took over hospital and they started to do changes and updated more facilities.
1st floor started to work – separation of FMG, MGW, spl ward, Semi Spl done.
DIALYSIS UNIT – Opened 2011, with two machines 2014-4, 2015-6 machines and we treat them with discounts. BPL card holders will have special discount.
CT UNIT- opened -2012 – GE machine with 2 slides.
New machine -semens 32 slides in the year 2021.
Schemes -2015 – RSBY, MSHS, ABY and yeshaswini started to work and medi Assist insurance started. After that one by one insurances tied up now we have 18 company’s insurances.
Physiotherapy unit started – august -2015 – sports medicine department opened.
– STP unit, ETP opened -2015
2016- 18 – NABH process was done
2017 – LIFT facility done.
Ambulance – winger purchased,
ICU- Ventilators, rotating cots purchased.
New – Generator installed -2016

Blood Bank- 2015 or 16 check mam
